We can cut corflute signs into a range of convex geometric shapes including:
– Squares or Rectangles
– Circles
– Triangles
– Hexagons
– All of these shapes can have curved corners (you would need to advise the radius you would like for the rounded corners)
The radius of the rounded corners can be specified by our customer to suit the design of the sign. We normally recommend 30mm as a suitable radius.
How long will my sign last? It all depends on UV Exposure. However our corflute corrugated plastic and advanced printing technology has increased the life expectancy of digitally printed corrugated plastic signs by about 30%. If the signs are always outdoors and exposed to UV, the life expectancy has increased from around 12 months to over 15 months. If they are indoors they will last for years!
Should I specify the direction of the flutes? It is important to let us know if you need the flutes to run in a particular direction. This could apply if you are using the corflute sign with ground spikes (in which case you would need vertical flutes so the spikes can slide into the flutes), or if you are attaching the corflute sign to a single vertical post or telegraph pole (in which case you would need horizontal flutes to provide extra strength and prevent the corflute sign bending around the pole). If you do not specify a flute direction the signs will be made with the flute direction that provides us with the best yield.
Why are clear eyelets better than the old metal eyelets? Clear eyelets are the latest in eyelet technology. The old metal eyelets would block the graphic on your sign and be very noticeable – but you can see straight through the clear eyelets. This allows you to see more of your graphic on the sign as the clear eyelets are barely noticeable. The clear eyelets are also just as strong as the metal eyelets but will not rust. The signs look significantly better with the clear eyelets.
